Victoria Glades -- hiking in the time of corona

Starting today with a link to another Mountaineers guidebook author's post about hiking while social distancing. Check it out.

In other COVID related news, nature centers like Powder Valley are closed but Missouri Dept of Conservation trails are OPEN. Missouri State Parks facilities, including visitor centers, are open.

Now, on to today's hike. Victoria Glades is another good one for social distancing -- it's a bit hidden away and not terribly crowded. It's also close to Valley View Glades, in case you want to hit two trails while you're driving out that way.

Victoria Glades' trail has lots of pretty views, thanks to the wide-open glades. It also has some lovely deciduous and evergreen forests, so lots of variety.

Note that there are no bathrooms or water at the trailhead. Also, the parking is across the road from the trailhead, so be careful crossing. Happy hiking!
